There is no charge for an initial phone consultation of approximately 15 minutes.

Fees

Individual Counselling    $100  50 minute session

Couple's Counselling      $125  60 minute session

(As a result of a recent Canadian Supreme Court ruling, registered social workers are no longer required to collect GST when providing counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals)

If you're unable to pay my regular fee I will do my best to accomodate your financial situation.

Clients pay by check or cash  at the beginning or end of each counselling or psychotherapy sessions.  Clients may also pay bi-weekly.  I provide receipts as needed. 

Insurance Coverage

Counselling and psychotherapy costs are not covered by Health Insurance BC (formerly MSP).  However, many extended health plans provide some form of coverage for counselling or psychotherapy costs with a Registered Social Worker-Clinical (R.S.W.-C).  Please check with your plan's administrator regarding their reimbursement policies for counselling or psychotherapy.  Additionally, counselling and psychotherapy costs can be deducted as a medical expense on your taxes.  Please check with your tax advisor for further details.

Appointments and Cancellations

Currently, I am not accepting any referrals.  If you are unable to keep your appointment, you will need to cancel at least 24 hours in advance of you appointment or you will be charged the full fee.  For example, if your counselling or psychotherapy appointment is on Wednesday you will need to cancel by Tuesday at the latest.

Clients usually arrive a few minutes early early and have a seat in the waiting area.
